What We Do

Site preparation and clearing, steel fabrication, decking, planting, irrigation, rough grading, concrete, masonry, structures and lighting. We have licensed irrigators on staff and can install or update any automated system. We work on both large scale commercial and high end residential projects. We also provide property maintenance services for a variety of project types. Please see 'Services' for a more detailed description of what Strata can provide for your project.

Fleet and Equipment

We own and operate a wide variety of excavators, skid steers, dozers, dump trucks, trenchers, rock saws and compaction equipment. We have several welding rigs, demo hammers, generators, pressure washers and a variety of other power tools. We run a large fleet of late model heavy duty pickup trucks and a variety of trailers to move equipment and materials efficiently and quickly. We take pride in providing our own equipment for the vast majority of projects that we are on and look forward to growing our fleet further over time.

Environmental Responsibility

Strata Landscape is committed to doing our part for our local, state and global environment. We recycle at our yard and on the job site, compost organic waste and reuse onsite material as often as possible. 100% of our waste material (steel, wood, concrete and trash) is sorted and recycled off site by a third party vendor. We take care when employing the use of chemicals for landscape management. We also donate financial resources and services to local non-profits such as the Nature Conservancy and the Austin Parks Foundation.


Tyler Zickert

Owner & Founder - Tyler has worked in the design and construction industry for the last 20 years providing clients with a broad background in landscape architecture and construction know-how. His current responsibilities include business development, design documentation, project financing, construction management and contract negotiation. He is also a member of the City of Austin Waterfront Planning Advisory Board, Onion Creek Park District and involved with several other non-profits including Austin Parks Foundation, Downtown Austin Alliance and Hill Country Conservancy.

Fabian Gutierrez

Owner & Operations Manager - With 15 plus years of experience in landscape maintenance and complex landscape installs, Fabian brings a wealth of fundamental build knowledge to every project. His focus on detail and quality consistently exceeds expectations on even the most daunting of project challenges. Responsibilities include construction management, personnel coordination, client services and maintenance operations. He has managed several notable Texas projects including The Perot Museum of Nature and Science, The Austonian, The W Hotel Austin, and several high end residential installations.

David Solmes

Principal & Senior Estimator - With twenty years of experience in the field of landscape architecture and construction, David strives to provide a first rate pre-construction service experience. A detail oriented professional with a strong background in design, procurement and estimating. David is a first rate industry analyst with the ability to sort through data, protecting the company's interests and ultimately ensuring a seamless installation process. Core position tenets include procurement of materials, project estimation, contract negotiation, budget management and subcontractor coordination.

Amber Bissell

Office Manager - Amber has worked in construction related fields for the past 10 years managing operations and work flow for a broad range of companies. She has experience in human resources, accounts payable & receivable, vendor management, purchasing, team building, inventory control and takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service. She holds multiple certifications including but not limited to UH Effective Leadership, UH Communication Strategies and UH ​Agile Project Management. Amber manages a variety of tasks for Strata such as payroll, AR/AP, project bonding submittals, pay applications and contract management.

Agnar Kofoed-Hansen

Commercial Construction Manager - Agnar joins us from the Northwestern US where he honed his construction skills with a large scale landscape company and GC. He has worked in the landscape industry for the last 15 years. He has experience across multiple disciplines including irrigation, landscaping, dirt work, basic utilities, electrical installations and concrete. He's quick on his feet, eager to tackle challenging projects and puts customer service front and center on every job.

Branson Musselman

Maintenance Manager - Branson oversees our maintenance accounts and is committed to helping our clients continually improve the appearance and functional quality of their properties and residences. Landscape maintenance provides the first impression for any project and Branson is dedicated to offering the highest level of service for our customers to ensure properties look their best. He is also responsible for managing our irrigation installations and coordinating irrigation reviews. He is licensed by the State of Texas (LI #21867).
